Carved from a single mass of dense timber, this piece explores the tension between brutalist geometry and intricate negative space. The cylindrical silhouette is anchored by a solid, softly rounded top and base, framing an openwork lattice body punctuated by hand-chiseled nodes. Finished in a deep, matte ebonized patina, the surface balances tactile roughness within the openwork against the quiet, satiny plane of the seat. Conceived as an architectural pedestal or low sculptural anchor, it commands presence through shadow play, mass, and material permanence.

Dust regularly using a dry, soft microfiber cloth or a soft-bristled brush to gently clean between the carved lattice openings. Strictly avoid chemical sprays, abrasive pads, natural oils, or wax-based polishes, as these will saturate the ebonized pores and alter the matte carbon finish.
